Micro Skin Needling is one of the latest skin rejuvenation techniques. We use Dermapen, the safest and most effective form of skin needling. A local anaesthetic cream is applied to the face prior to treatment and then a series of very fine needles in the pen cause micro-injuries to the skin. These trigger the natural healing processes of your skin, promoting the production of collagen and elastin which tightens and smoothes the skin. Dermapen is effective for acne scarring, pigmentation, loss of elasticity (crepey looking skin) and fine lines and wrinkles. It is suitable for all skin

types. Results take 6-8 weeks and a course of 3 treatments at 8 weeks intervals is recommended to achieve optimum results.

Dermapen In-Salon Treatments utilise the Dermapen’s advanced vertical skin needling technology, which uses multiple needles to vertically pierce the skin with an automatic vibrating function. When moved across the skin’s surface, the Dermapen stimulates natural collagen reproduction, while allowing fine channels to be created in the skin. These channels can then carry up to 80 per cent more topical nutrients deep into the skin’s fibroblasts, which then feeds the underlying cells found in the dermis and basal layer. This increased absorption of active ingredients into the skin creates stimulated repair and faster resurfacing results. This advanced vertical skin needling promotes scar-less healing. It is more effective then most microdermabrasion, chemical peels and laser, without the negative side effects or downtime.

Unlike traditional skin needling rollers, the Dermapen causes less skin trauma and has minimal epidermal (skin) damage, therefore reducing pain and discomfort, and making it a safer, more effective treatment. The disposable needles eliminate risk of cross-contamination, and the adjustable needle depths allow for a treatment tailored to the individual’s needs. The Dermapen is also advanced enough to be used safely around delicate areas such as the eyes, lips and nose.

Dermapen is ideal for treating aged skin, sagging skin, fine lines and wrinkles, smoker’s lines around the lips, skin tightening and rejuvenation, large pores, stretch marks, scars (acne, surgical and burns), and alopecia. For best results, it is recommended the individual has 4-6 treatments, with each treatment completed 4-6 weeks apart. However, this depends on the area being treated. The clinician will assess the patient’s skin and treatment area to recommend a treatment plan suitable for them.
